Over the last 40 years I have written a lot of papers. Most have been part of an on-going struggle to understand the basic biochemical and physiological mechanisms of the biology of fishes and molluscs, and how those basic mechanisms are deployed in their ecological physiology. I think that my colleagues and I have been fortunate enough to make a few genuine discoveries.
